When celebrity publicist Lyla Davis is killed, it is up to Dayna Anderson, a semi-famous actress turned private investigator, to solve the crime and avoid her own Hollywood ending.
I’ve been looking forward to this since I finished Hollywood Homicide because I loved the characters so much. I am here for more of this cozy mystery/women’s fiction and look forward to seeing what Dayna Anderson and her friends get into. And it looks like this time around Dayna is a P.I.’s apprentice so I’m excited to see her evolution from amateur sleuth.
I loved joining her as she followed up on lead after lead and engaged in antic after antic. Ultimately, Dayna solves the case and opens the door for many more. I’ll definitely be preordering the sequel, Hollywood Ending, due this August.
The Lucy-and-Ethel-like antics of Day and Sienna provide plenty of laughs, but readers will also enjoy watching Day as she develops her sleuthing skills, including savvy social media tactics. Garrett, who wrote for TV’s Cold Case, brings a smart insider’s view of contemporary Hollywood to this lighthearted series.
