Surprise turns into desire, and soon Robyn and Zac agree to a short-term, summer fling. Life, of course, has other plans. What follows is a witty, wonderful romance that speaks to who we are, who we are meant to be, and who we are meant to be with. Castile fills Robyn and Zac’s world with a raucous, supportive cast of family and friends who will have readers wishing they could linger in these pages just a little longer.
Magic Mike XXL meets Bridesmaids in Stripped, a sexy, funny contemporary romance by Zoey Castile that asks an important question: What happens when the guy you've fallen for is a stripper? ... It's a devilishly fun scene that kickstarts a hot romance.
...a fun and flirty romance between a fifth-grade teacher and her handsome new neighbor ... Much like Magic Mike, its celluloid inspiration, Stripped is swoony, exciting and an all-around entertaining ride ... With chemistry that’s steamy and a hero that’s dreamy, Stripped should be on everyone’s reading list this year.
Stripped by Zoey Castile was one of my most anticipated romances this year and it really is a perfect read for fans of Magic Mike ... This book is a lot of fun ... But while I loved both of the main characters and the large cast of charismatic dancers, I wanted more because I wanted something with more emotional stakes and angst ... There was a feature in the book that brought me a ton of joy, though, and that was the chapter titles. Each chapter is a song title or lyric that related to whatever scene was about to happen. It was a fun little game seeing how the text and title related ... Stripped is an uncomplicated romance between two goofy, sexy people. It has a sweetness to it that’s reminiscent of a contemporary friends to lovers trope.
...[a] charming debut contemporary ... Castile delivers genuine chemistry between the leads, and her strippers strike the perfect balance between sexily risky and cuddly ... The only flaw is the ending, which is fulfilling but feels a little too safe for the premise’s daring potential. Nonetheless, with well-developed characters, a satisfying romance, and a lighthearted, fast-paced story, Castile’s debut is thoroughly entertaining.
