Endearing if awkwardly titled ... Those who might have been inclined to dismiss Stamos as a shallow pretty boy (um, me, for one) will be pleasantly surprised by his frequently self-mocking memoir ... If he goes on far longer than is necessary or advisable about the significance of hummingbirds and about his adjustment to long-deferred fatherhood, well, he’s built up enough goodwill that surely readers will have mercy.
Smart and entertaining ... It’s hard to rouse a head of steam for a thespian whose raison d’être is to 'get famous' and who cops to 'trying to achieve sex symbol status' ... Some Stamos fans may enjoy this kind of Malibu verismo, but I found myself repeatedly looking floorward in search of a dog to pet.
This is a candid story about the joys and sorrows of fame, but Stamos has no regrets. A self-deprecating, honest, and often humorous performing arts memoir that fans will enjoy.
