... extremely creepy ... I loved how Barclay developed all the characters so well and did not rush the storyline. The story was intricate yet realistic, and I was left guessing until the very end. It’s an absolute must-read book for fans of Harlen Coben.

Barclay melds a solid, winning plot with in-depth character studies, including his supporting characters. Miles’ first response to his diagnosis is reckless behavior — drinking too much, driving too fast (so what if the speeding tickets pile up?) and skydiving. While his decision to help his offspring is commendable, he still can’t see how ignoring those people who have always been in his life affects them ... gains its suspense from its character’s motives, not gratuitous action.
