PositiveAnalog\"...earned itself a permanent spot in my collection for being the kind of work that I can come back to time and time again...informative, invaluable, and frequently just plain fun ... Filled with shrewd neo-noir wit and smirking leftist critique, The Body Scout is layered with cultural criticism and reflections on what truly matters ... [some] larger questions, while touched on, are not fully explored, and it does feel like a loss, despite Michel’s swiftly moving plot and hard and fast action ... Obviously, books should never proselytize, but the thematic nature of the book could have been better served if we spent longer among the people of this climate-changed New York City. Our scout is hardly the vehicle for it though, so one can hope Michel delivers another separate story from this world.
