RaveLiberA gorgeous book and a weird book, and as you read it, you don’t know why she decided to write about this seemingly trivial moment growing up, or that couple rather than this other couple who were friends of her parents and fellow Czech escapees from Hitler. Malcolm writes in two time frames, lending the book its coherence and intimacy.
