None is more significant than Michael McFaul’s From Cold War to Hot Peace: An American Ambassador in Putin’s Russia ... As seen through Mr. McFaul’s eyes, the preponderance of fault for the worsening of Russian-U.S. relations rests with Mr. Putin. On the other hand, Mr. McFaul appears to ignore two significant sets of grievances that the Russian government has had since the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the former Soviet Union, namely NATO enlargement and U.S.-sponsored regime change.\
